“Barry Barry” is one of the most loved camping traditions, full of fun and history!
It all began with a warden named Barry, who used to close the park at the end of the day. Kids would shout, “Barry’s here!” and playfully hide as he made his rounds. Even after Barry sadly passed away, the game continued, keeping his playful spirit alive.
Today, campers still take part in the hide-and-seek fun. When the wardens come to close the park, the game begins! Shouts, laughter, and hiding in safe spots like play frames make the end of the day extra exciting.
This tradition is a special way to connect with the history of the park and enjoy a little extra adventure before going to sleep.
